ARCHIVED EVENTS 2007
Sept. 21-23 – Walking in Beauty, A Shamanic Exploration with Ginger Lee, 4th level Kuraq Akulleq in the Inka Tradition. Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to man and dates back 30 – 40,000 years. Indigenous tribes all over the world had someone in their community who could contact and work with the unseen world, by altering their state of consciousness, and work with compassionate and helping spirits to help individuals or the tribe, as well as themselves.
The practice of Shamanism is a living viable method to mend our fragmented spirits, obtain consistent and reliable answers and guidance, and live our lives in a conscious and powerful way. During this workshop you will learn basic information about Shamanism, practice Shamanic breath work (Fire Breathing) and have the opportunity to experience your own Shamanic Journey. You will begin to connect with your Helping Spirits and Guides. We will have a Fire Ceremony on Saturday night.
This will be an opportunity for each to work with their own intentions in a strong and powerful way. Each participant will also have a private Shamanic Session with Ginger over the course of the workshop. This class will also be offered January 19-21, 2008. (Only 6 places left!) Weekend lodging, two breakfasts, Saturday lunch, snacks, beverages, and Retreat Tuition included. $275 per person double occupancy, Regent/Sovereign (Queen bed) or Crown room (King/twin).

The shift from Autumn’s Harvest into Winter’s Quiet brings with it a dramatic shift in energy, as yang chi has peaked and begins to compress into the depths of yin. This is an essential time to complete internal cleansing and cultivate chi reserves to their best in quality. Active, outward expression transitions into intro- and retro-spection as winter’s stillness approaches. This is an exquisite time for couples and loved ones to retreat together within the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains’ Collegiate Peaks, to attune health and spirit with the energetic shifts within nature. Devoting time to qigong healing in relationships and self-care during this time of year brings great internal peace and awe. Truly a magical experience of intimacy with one’s self and closeness with loved ones to cherish.

Learn to be aware of your own stress response and then learn to control it!
Saturday and Sunday Reconstructive Exercise with Breathwork will emphasize the Science of Stretching. Learn about the ranges of motion, adaptability, performance enhancement and contraindications. Breathing exercises have been found to be effective in reducing anxiety, depression, irritability, muscular tension and fatigue. Useful in the treatment and prevention of breath holding, hyperventilation, and cold hands and feet.
