Sandy's Special Interests

I am the Innkeeper. What a great occupation! I get to work from home, entertain, organize events, meet fun people and enjoy the surrounding mountain community right from my living room!

The Inn at Buena Vista is my dream come true. It gives me the opportunity to share my home, nurture a sense of well-being in the people who visit, and provide an atmosphere of tranquil relaxation to the most active of adventurers.

Creating The Inn and the Spa integrates many aspects of my vision for my own growth and surroundings. I feel so fortunate to have the talented people who have joined me in creating the experience so you can truly want to "Imagine Yourself Here..."

I came to Buena Vista in 2005, found the church and began renovations. I am proud to have worked on many aspects of the building process myself. I am grateful to the contractors who allowed me to learn and work along side of them. They helped me make my dream come alive.

Being new to the community gave me the opportunity to volunteer and meet people whose interests are varied. I am the past Chair of the Town of Buena Vista Airport Board, a former member of the Chaffee County Visitor's Bureau Board, the Citizen's Advisory Committee and worked on the Comprehensive Plan for the Town. I chaired two committees, Economic Development and Housing and Standards.

I am excited to be a Business sponsor for the fifth year for both the Collegiate Peaks Forum Series,  the Collegiate Peaks Music Festival and Opera Colorado.

I am a founding member of Brazen Businesswomen, a group of women entrepreneurs, business owners and decision makers who meet once a month for encouragement, enlightenment, education and support.

In my spare time, and yes, I do have some, I enjoy reading science fiction, downhill skiing now with my granddaughter Alice, trying out new recipes and watching classic movies.
