Ski season is about over so if you want a last minute getaway to the slopes, now is the time!Monarch Ski Area is just 35 minutes from our door. We are on the South end of town and the streets are plowed, the road is clear and you CAN get there from here. Consider the Inn for your next ski vacation and enjoy the amenities you won't find elsewhere. We have our own day spa so a massage to work out the kinks or a facial to keep your skin glowing, are a walk down the stairs. Breakfast is hot, nutritious and early so you can hit the slopes when they open. Have a group? We can accommodate up to 10 adults, double occupancy. Weekly rentals are available. Make this your hub and ski at Monarch, Breckenridge, Cooper, Copper or Vail. It's easy to get to each of the resorts from here and the way back to Denver or Colorado Springs on Route 285 and 24 makes Buena Vista the logical choice. Why battle I-70 when you have such a great alternative.
Like cross country? Stay with us and enjoy a guided moonlight ski with The Trailhead offered on full moon nights. Come back to the Inn and enjoy a hot drink, a jacuzzi and slip into a comfy king or queen sized bed with your own private bath.
Snowmobiles are welcome. Since this is a former church, we have a parking lot big enough for you to haul your vehicles. It's off street, close to trails and since we are on the edge of town, restaurants and shops are nearby.
Attention Hunters and Fishermen -- We are now offering a great package! If you are serious about hunting or fishing, not a bunch of folks who want to sit around, drink and play cards, we are looking for your business. Stay at the Inn at a great weekly rate and get a continental breakfast, a packed lunch and a home cooked dinner in the evening. When you stay with us you get the extra time you would spend preparing your meals for the actual hunt. And the clean-up after dinner is up to me so you get some extra sleep.
Are your wives sick of staying home while the guys travel to the mountains? Well, bring them! We have a day spa to keep them pampered. There are antique shops, galleries, a winery, and natural hot springs for soaking. You can enjoy the great outdoors and you won't have to think twice about a second vacation to include your spouse or girlfriend.

The Raft and Spa Escape is over for 2009. The great rafting experiences begin in May. We hope you will consider this great weekend package again next year.
The Raft and Spa Escape combines a world-class rafting experience with a luxurious two night stay at The Inn at Buena Vista and two one-hour massages for two. Depending on the Full-Day trip that you choose, you will raft about 20 miles on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista. Wetsuits, river shoes, and waterproof paddle jackets are included in this package. Beautiful scenery abounds in this high alpine valley, where you may encounter Bighorn Sheep, Red-Tail Hawks, or other native wildlife.
Itinerary
Arrive at The Inn at Buena Vista any time from 4-6 PM. The Inn is a redesigned church, with five gracious rooms, each with its own well-appointed private bath and is decorated with original artwork and custom furnishings. The Inn features free high-speed wireless internet access, concierge, turndown service, Molton Brown luxury bathing therapies, and freshly ironed linens.
The Regent, Sovereign or Crown rooms are your private retreats. Sit on the deck to watch the wildlife in the pasture and delight in the unobstructed mountain views. After check-in, the innkeeper will welcome you with a reception, confirm your massage appointment times, help you make your plans for dinner and enjoy the evening.
The next morning, have a freshly prepared breakfast in time to get you to the Four Corners Rafting office in Nathrop just 8 minutes from the Inn. We have restrooms and changing rooms available on site and recommend that you bring a change of clothes for after your rafting trip. Please use your car as a locker for all valuables and our office will keep your keys on our key board while you are on the trip. After you have checked in to the office, and received your lifejacket and/or helmet and other necessary gear, we will then transport you upstream to the “put in.” Before you begin your rafting trip, your guide will instruct you on river safety and paddling technique.
After an exciting morning on the river, you will be served a delicious riverside lunch either on the river bank or at our private riverside facility, depending on the trip that you choose. The Browns Canyon Full Day trip is our most popular trip, beginning in Buena Vista and rafting Browns Canyon in its entirety, rated Class III this is considered family class whitewater and enjoyed by the novice and experienced rafter alike. The Deluxe Wildhorse/Browns Full Day trip begins with the continuous Class III-IV whitewater of Wildhorse Canyon in the morning, enjoys a scrumptious BBQ steak lunch at mid-day and continues through Browns Canyon in the afternoon. The Deluxe Wildhorse/Browns trip is recommended for the more adventurous, and is our longest trip at 22-25 miles depending on water levels. If you are looking for the ultimate Colorado White Water Rafting adventure, The Numbers section may be just what you are looking for. This incredible Class IV-V section is for experienced rafters only, and requires participants to be physically fit. The Numbers Full Day includes lunch on the riverbank and the continuous whitewater of Wildhorse Canyon in the afternoon.
At the end of your rafting trip you will be taken back to our office. Upon return you can view photos of your trip and explore our gift shop. At your leisure, make your way into town, return to The Inn and enjoy the quiet tranquility of its setting.
