Stay with the Stars

The Inn at Buena Vista is a sponsor of the Collegiate Peaks Forum Series, the Collegiate Peaks Music Festival, and Opera Colorado. We are proud to continue to host renowned speakers and celebrities from all walks of life.

The 2010 season has just been announced. Our hosting has not yet been determined for this season so stay tuned to see who will be staying with us this season.

Will it be someone from NASA, the Ayn Rand Insititute, SETI or Chautauqua. This year's lineup looks like it will be another great opportunity to see folks you may not have the opportunity to meet anywhere else in such an intimate setting.

2010 Speaker Series

We will be hosting Dr. Seth Shostak on the evening of April 9th so join us for breakfast on April 10th and then enjoy his lecture entitled "Scientific Search for ET."

In September 2007, three celebrities stayed at The Inn, Diane Ladd, Scott Wilson and Karen Knotts.

This is a photo of Diane and  me right after she was honored for her contributions to the film industry. What a pleasure to meet such a down to earth and gracious woman.

Below is a photo of me with Scott Wilson and Robert Hunter.

This fest took place in Leadville, Buena Vista and Salida. John Landis, the director of "Animal House," "The Blue Lagoon," and "Coming to America" as well as Randal Kleiser, the director of "Grease" were honored along with the stars. We had a sock hop at the Drive-In, the movie theatres showed movies and magic lantern presentations. The parties were fun with live music and dancing and an opportunity to hobknob with celebrities we only see on the big screen or hear about behind it.

This year the Film Fest was postponed, but promised to return.
